Automation Test Engineer

What is the Mission?

MAJUS Consulting is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to expand and mature test automation capabilities across enterprise systems. This role focuses on building robust, scalable automation frameworks and integrating automated testing into Agile and DevOps pipelines. The mission is to ensure reliable, efficient, and continuous software testing that enhances quality and accelerates delivery timelines.

What Will You Do?

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, integration, and performance testing.
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks to support regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
  • Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Rational ELM.
  • Implement API, UI, and database test automation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to identify high-value test cases for automation.
  • Develop and maintain reusable automation libraries, components, and utilities.
  • Support performance testing by automating load, stress, and scalability test scenarios.
  • Ensure accessibility and security standards are incorporated into the automation process.
  • Provide guidance on automation tool selection, best practices, and framework optimization.

What Skills Do You Possess?

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation for enterprise-level applications.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, HP LoadRunner, Parasoft, or IBM Rational Performance Tester (RPT).
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or equivalent languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, TDD/BDD, and DevOps practices.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation toolchains.
  • Familiarity with performance testing concepts, monitoring tools, and database optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications (Optional)

  • ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer or equivalent certification is a plus.

Security Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
